Wow, what a roller coaster ride 2020 has been so far. We want to take this time to personally thank our Vanuatuan boys Vuni, Patrick, Kalo, Edu, Kiki and Abela, for coming over this year to help with our growing season and harvest.
Typically the team lend a helping hand for 7 months, but this year with the Covid19 spanner in the works the boys trip was significantly extended..
Being away from their families has been very tough, but thankfully Chard Farm is their second family!
Over the last few months to keep the boys busy, we started team Curling for the boys in which some of the lads have never been on the ice before. As well as a send-off we took everyone out to Milford Sound to explore the mighty mountains. Our vineyard Manager Hamish also managed to get some of our boys to do a Primary ITO course, where they completed their Level 2 Horticulture Paper.
We are forever grateful for all of your help.
Safe travels back to Vanuatu from the Hamish, Kat, Rob, Gerdi and the Chard Farm team

It’s the 10th season for some of our Vanuatuan seasonal boys who come to Chard Farm every year to help with the growing season and harvest.
The boys were supposed to go back in April, but along came Covid!!
We thought it would be nice to treat the boys after their extended stay in New Zealand to a boat trip on Milford Sound – a place they have never visited before.
We want to say a big thank you to their hardworking spirit and energy that they bring to the team.

Again thank you boys – you rock!
