Down on the farm

Grafting 22,000 new high-stem pinot noir cuttings for our Cook Block expansion on phylloxera resistant rootstock. A new technique whereby the grafted vines are planted in the vineyard at almost full height.

Very expensive but quicker establishment in the vineyard and no debudding required! - a big cost saver. At $8/plant, hopefully it all works out!
