Our Vipers Vineyard is located on an undulating terrace in the Parkburn area of Cromwell. It takes its name from the wildflower Vipers Bugloss covering the area. Grown on the Arena Block of the vineyard, the steep north facing slope produces grapes with distinctive lime flavours and a mineral edge.
This wine is made from a very small selective harvest of grapes that were just at the right balance of fruit flavour, acid and sweetness. It is made in a medium sweet style, and is a wonderful aperitif or great with food that has a little heat.
wine description:
Complex fragrant aromas of limes white spice, a hint of jasmine and underlying earthy notes. There is generous medium fruit weight and good texture on the palate, and the wine finishes with a refreshing mineral acid that explodes with flavour and impressive length.
