Riesling 2009
winemakers comments: Our Riesling was another variety to benefit from the great 2009 summer. The perfectly ripe berries that developed on the vine have produced a juicy and vibrant wine with intense flavours and good balance on the palate. The grapes were grown in the Parkburn and Bendigo areas of Cromwell and were hand-picked when the grapes had achieved a nice balance between fruit and acid ripeness. This natural balance has been respected in the winemaking process, with the wine retaining just enough natural sweetness to balance the fruit, acid and alcohol.
wine description: Intense aromas of limes, citrus rind, and slate make a complex bouquet. The fresh and textured palate shows good lime and stone flavors, with delicate acid and just enough sweetness on the long mineral finish to finely balance the palate.

Alcohol: 12.5%, IRF Rating: Medium Dry
