Gewurztraminer 2009
Winemaker’s Comments: From one of our vineyards in the Parkburn area of Cromwell we have harvested some wonderfully ripe and concentrated fruit. The 2009 season produced an excellent crop in near perfect conditions, and after slow gentle pressing of the whole clusters we were left with pungently aromatic and concentrated juice. This in turn has produced a wine with excellent balance and length, accentuated by fine spicy aromatics.
Wine Description: A complex bouquet of ginger and exotic spices, rose petal and a background of lycee fruitiness. The wine has supple fruit flavours in the mouth which continue with a long finely spiced finish. Beautifully balanced in an off-dry style.
