Bright ruby red. Intense aromas of dark red berry fruits and ripe plum give way to complex violet and subtle spice notes. The wine has ripe berry fruit flavours. It is supple and textural in the mouth, and the fine persistent tannins lead to a long, minerally finish. |

Notes |
River Run Pinot Noir is made from grapes grown in our vineyards in the Lowburn and Parkburn areas of the Cromwell basin. The wine is made to display typical Central Otago bright, fresh sweet fruit and good texture and mineral length. The 2008 vintage was superb. We harvested a bumper crop with perfect flavours and ripeness. The River Run lots are selected in the vineyard and receive a slightly different regime in the winery than that of its bigger sibling the Finla Mor. It has a shorter fermentation and receives less oak. This helps to promote its fresh fruit and softer texture without compromising on its complexity and length.
