The aroma is a heady perfume of pears, honeysuckle and wild flowers with fine spicy- nutty notes. The wine is subtle, weighty and full in the mouth, it oozes fruit texture and concentration. The long mineral finish nicely balances this beautiful wine. |

This wine is made from fruit grown in 2 separate estate owned vineyards in the Parkburn area of Cromwell. The low yielding and late ripening 2008 vintage provided perfect conditions to make wine with all the great Pinot Gris characteristics- texture, fruit weight not fruity-ness and length. Which makes the wine a perfect match for food or for just enjoying it on its own. It was hand harvested and fermented in small lots in stainless steel tanks. Thus retaining fruit purity and finesse. |
