It’s funny what happens over a cup of coffee in Joe’s Garage on Saturday mornings. Rob shared with event organiser - Geoff Hunt, a vision of a local mountain bike race - through the Wakatipu basin, incorporating some of the newly opened Wakatipu trails and normally inaccessible farm land, and finishing at Chard Farm. Six months later and 835! mountain bikers descended on Chard Farm. It was a great event and set to be a regular classic in the area. The next race will be held Easter 2010.
